Here at Kids’ People we were recently asked for some of our fabulous kids event staff members to work with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP in creating a fun-filled family Easter event full of crafts, magic, face painting, cake-decorating, Easter bonnets, food and games. There may have even been one of two visits from the Easter Bunny! The event was an opportunity for staff at the firm to bring their children into the office, socialise with other families and to get stuck in to the Easter fun. Our staff got stuck in right away, being placed in charge of the craft and decorating stalls.
Cakes and Cookies
Armed with coloured icing, piping bags, chocolate chicks and edible flowers, our team set about helping young ones and their families decorate the cupcakes that the chefs at the firm had baked and prepared. Once satisfied with cupcakes piled high with icing and treats, families swiftly moved on to the cookies and biscuits that had been baked in the shape of bunnies, chicks and eggs – With many parents pleading with their young ones to ‘wrap up the treats to take home for Grandma.’
Paints, Pens and Pipe-cleaners
Once filled to the brim with sugar, the energetic children made their way over to the arts and crafts section to colour in a chick or make a fluffy egg that they were ‘sure Grandma would like better,’ (as they gleefully polished off her chocolate bunny cookie)! The four tables were beautifully laid out with paper plates, colourful pens, purple, yellow and blue tissue paper, multicoloured felt, pva glue, chick, bunny and egg shaped card to colour and decorate and hairbands to make bunny ears.
It was such a fun, vibrant day that we loved being a part of just as much as the children themselves. One of our children’s event staff members even co-created the design and build of an innovative ‘Easter Sheep’ that was requested and made out of cotton wool balls, pipe cleaners and googley eyes by one of the boys at the event! A success all round.
